Mistbound

D&D 5e Module

Mistbound: Inner_about

A Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition module styled after the modules published by Wizards of the Coast for Adventurer's League play. The intended experience for this module is for the players to feel trapped, fighting powers they do not quite understand, and requiring them to find a way to survive long enough to escape. This module is intended for more experienced players, who are more likely to be familiar with finer interactions and the general world of AL. As such, it is created for a higher-level party, averaging around level 8.

About Adventurer's League

Adventurer's League is structured Dungeons and Dragons play, created and published by Wizards of the Coast. There is less randomness than in standard D&D, and only rules and classes and the like published by Wizards in official books are legal resources for characters and adventures. This allows for a drop-in drop-out style of play, so people don't have to dedicated time every week to play, and characters can be used at any table.

For more information, check out the Adventurer's League Player FAQ from the DM's Guild here.

The World of Faerun

Faerun is the primary location where the modules and adventures published by Wizards of the Coast takes place. It contains vast forests, towering mountains, and rushing rivers. It is a well developed IP, and where my adventure takes place.

Specifically, it takes place in Ardeep Forest, and small forest to the north-east of Waterdeep, also known as the City of Splendors. Waterdeep is a massive center of trade along the Sword Coast, on the north-western edge of Faerun.

Five powerful factions vie for power in Faerun: The Harpers, The Zhatarim, The Emerald Enclave, The Lord's Alliance, and The Order of the Gauntlet. More information on the factions can be found here.

In Adventurer's League, most characters are members of a faction, and as such, members o certain factions can receive special quests in different modules. In mine, members of the Zhentarim and the Order of the Gauntlet can receive additional objectives.
